Captain's Insights
Faf du Plessis expressed, “We will bowl first. I believe it’s a 50-50 situation today. The team composition includes an extra batter, which is beneficial for chasing. It has been a frustrating journey; we started strong but faced ups and downs. We have enough T20 experience to know how to handle these situations. We performed well for the first 17 overs in the last match but lost focus. Our aim was to finish in the top four, but now we are playing for the fifth spot.”
Shreyas Iyer added, “The mood is positive, but I’m not fully satisfied. We aim to build momentum from here. Every player is contributing to the team’s efforts. We have done half the job so far. It’s crucial to stay focused and take every opportunity. Inglis and Stoinis are back in the lineup.”
